It seems that the level of Father’s Day gifts have gone through the roof this year!
A few weeks ago, we reported on one determined son who made a promise to his dad when he was a young boy. The promise was that when he gets older, he would give his dad the one thing he always wanted: a 1957 Chevy Bel Air.
The son spent the next two years saving for the sky blue beauty and finally, on Father’s Day this year, gave his dad the car.
Naturally, the video of the special moment went viral and had us and many people around the world in tears. And now it seems that one woman was looking to out-do the man with the Chevy Bel Air.
Also for Father’s Day, a Californian woman gave her stepfather a 1973 Porsche 914.
Her stepdad had had a car like that many years ago. However, he had to get rid of it in order to fund his wedding to the woman’s mother. Sort of giving up one love for the ultimate prize. He never regretted his decision, but his stepdaughter knew how much he loved that car.
So, she spent two years tracking down a 1973 Porsche 914 and finally found one. She had the car moved to a mechanic closer to her parents who fixed it up for her – and then the big day arrived.
When she asked her stepdad to look outside (after the Porsche was revving loudly) he couldn’t believe his eyes. What’s even more, he didn’t realize it was HIS.
