Coming Soon: The Amazing Toys That Will Change The Way Kids Play

Coming to your toys aisle soon: toys like you’ve never seen before!

Remember when the hottest toy on the market was a weird looking doll that had a signature on it’s…ahem, rear-end?

We’ve come a long way since the Cabbage Patch Doll, with more and more of the most popular kids toys these days incorporating more and more technology.

We take a look at what the future holds with some of the most eye-popping techno toys slated to hit the shops soon.

Jumping Sumo
One part robot, one part racing car, Jumping Sumo is like a souped up remote controlled car. Resembling a drone on wheels, the responsive bot can not only zoom around your house like a rally car, it can also jump up to 80cm in the air! Controlled by your smartphone, the Jumping Sumo has a wide-angle camera on board which streams live immersive views on the piloting screen, so you’re navigating as if you’re onboard driving. This is one for the thrill seekers of all ages.

PrioVR
The next step in immersive gaming, the PrioVR allows you to become the gaming controller. Designed for adults and older kids, this new innovation combines the immersive technology of the Oculus Rift Gaming mask with a full body sensor suit that allows 360 degree real time motion tracking. This will definitely get you up off the couch and into some of the most active gaming ever!

TinkerBots
Designed to provide kids with a fun introduction to the world of robotics, TinkerBots take the world of LEGO and adds robotics so kids can bring their building block creations to life. Suitable for kids of all ages, Tinkerbots are basic robotic kits in the form of building blocks that easily snap together, and are controlled wirelessly or via an Arduino board. And, as an added bonus, they’re actually compatible with LEGO and LEGO Technic. Kids learn all sorts of STEM skills while having stacks of fun.

LEGO Fusion
LEGO Fusion’s tagline of “Real Build. Virtual Games”, explains the Fusion concept really well. Kids build their own LEGO creations from the special Fusion kits and then use these real-life bricks to solve virtual app game missions. LEGO Fusion is currently only available in the States, and hopefully an Australian release date will be announced soon.
