Spy Shots: Porsche Macan Turbo S

410542

As some of you may or may not know, we have a bit of a special place for Porsche. Whether it’s the sleek, beautiful lines or the sheer power of the Porsche, we love these cars.

Ot should come as no surprise then that we got really excited when we saw these spy shots of the all new Porsche Macan Turbo S. Sure, the Macan Turbo has been unveiled and we love it in all its glory, but the Turbo S is more powerful – and thus more exciting.

The Macan is the perfect car for you if you;re into SUV’s but you’re not too keen on a super bulky, big car.

Unlike it’s older sister the Cayenne, the Porsche Macan is still an SUV that you can drive comfortably and without feeling overwhelmed by the sheer power and size of the mighty Cayenne.

As the company itself describes the Macan, it’s a sports car meets small crossover – and what combo that is!

While the Macan Turbo S will still be able to handle a little bit of off road driving, it wasn’t specifically designed to go bundu-bashing, if you catch our drift. Yes, it can handle it (and probably handle it well) but the Macan is more of an urban powerhouse.

The Macan is available as a Turbo and a Turbo S in the US, although we haven’t seen an official unveiling of the Turbo S just yet. This is why the folks over at Carbuzz believe that this is in fact the Turbo S – as they say, why hide a car that you have already unveiled.

The Turbo S is set to have a v6, turbocharged engine and is likely to produce just over 400 horsepower. Considering the Porsche Macan Turbo produces roughly around 395 horsepower, the S will have one up on it’s less powerful sibling.

The Turbo S is tipped to make its official debut at the Paris Auto Show in September, and if these spy shots are anything to go by, we can’t wait to see the car in all it’s exposed glory. Check the shots and special spy video out below:
